John Brown Media wins 5 awards in 24 hours for its work across three continents!
John Brown Media, DAN's global content marketing agency, has won the industry’s most coveted awards on both sides of the Atlantic on consecutive nights… for its work in three continents.
On Tuesday, the prestigious British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Awards saw John Brown's Creative Director Clare Watters win Art Director of the Year in the ‘Branded Content: Consumer’ category, for her trailblazing work on the John Lewis Edition programme. The BSME judges called her work "beautifully fit for purpose, true to the brand and 'a store between the covers'.
Craig Inglis, Customer Director at John Lewis, said of the magazine: “Edition has become an established title within our fashion customer’s repertoire. With its newsstand-quality photography, journalistic expertise and independent voice, it continues to successfully drive reappraisal of John Lewis as a fashion brand.
“The uplift on featured product sales and high-yielding, high-volume ad pages demonstrate that Edition has great resonance with our customers and brand partners alike.”
Just one day later, over the pond in New York, John Brown Media walked away three awards at the Content Council's Pearl Awards, which celebrate excellence in content marketing and is the longest running content marketing awards program in the United States.
John Brown won the gold for Best Print Magazine (Editorial) B2C for US client Hannaford Supermarkets' Fresh Magazine, and bronze in the same category went to Pick n Pay's Fresh Living magazine, which also won the gold for Best Retail. Gold award for Best Use of Email was won by Pick n Pay Pick n Pay's Supper Sorted.
John Brown's CEO Andrew Hirsch said: This shows the world that we are truly the leading global content agency, winning prestigious awards in London and New York on consecutive nights. I am very proud of everyone involved.
