The Content Council Honors Industry Trailblazer And CMI Founder, Joe Pulizzi
New York, NY(September 30, 2014) — The Content Council has announced the 2014 winner of the John Caldwell Lifetime Achievement Award: Content Marketing Institute Founder and author of Epic Content Marketing, Joe Pulizzi. This honor has been awarded to Pulizzi for his significant contributions in the content marketing industry by virtue of his leadership and success at promoting the use of content as a marketing channel.
“Joe has been a leader in rallying the marketing industry around content,” said Andy Seibert, The Content Council chairman and managing partner at Imprint. “From Content Marketing World to his book,Epic Content Marketing, his contributions to the industry have been considerable.”
Pulizzi is referred to as a content marketing evangelist; he began using the term “content marketing” in 2001 and founded the Content Marketing Institute (CMI) in 2007 under the original name of Junta42. The CMI consistently nurtures and charges the content marketing industry forward with cutting-edge research, education, events and more. In 2013, CMI was recognized as the fastest growing business media company byInc. magazine and its event, Content Marketing World, remains the largest global content marketing event in the industry. In conjunction with CMI, Pulizzi created and writes for the leading content marketing magazine, Chief Content Officer.
