
13th Annual Pearl Awards Pays Tribute To Excellence And Innovation In Content Marketing To Organizations Worldwide

NEW YORK, NY (November 17, 2016)— On Wednesday, November 16th, the 2016 Pearl Awards were presented by The Content Council, the premier non-profit organization representing content marketers globally as the definitive resource for content marketing insights and thought leadership. The awards celebrated the best in content marketing from organizations worldwide during an evening ceremony at Essex House in New York City with emcee standup comedian, filmmaker and creativity coach, Sara Armour.
The Pearl Awards is recognized by those in content marketing as one of the most respected events of the year celebrating colleagues and those making an impact in the field. Winners were picked from nearly 400 entries from leading brands, publishers, and agencies. Experts judged entries on overall effectiveness, creativity and editorial excellence.
“The work that was on display at this year’s Pearl Awards ceremony was remarkable,” said Andy Seibert, Chairman of The Content Council and Managing Partner of Imprint. “The evening is always a celebration of the excellent work, inspiring individuals and the continued evolution of content marketing.”
The ceremony drew the elite in content marketing from organizations across the globe. Honored recipients included Best Content Director: Tom Sather, Return Path, Best Creative Director: Amy Marenco, Rogers Media Inc. and Rising Star: Katie Sehl, Spafax. Prestigious awards were presented to Gary Johnson, President of MSP Communications for the 2016 John Caldwell Award and David Lang, Chief Content Officer of Mindshare, NA and President of Mindshare Content + Entertainment for the inaugural 2016 Content Innovator of the Year Award.
