As Vice President, Branded Content and Global Creative, Ann’s role, broadly, is to manage the Content Discipline at IBM. This includes content strategy, content creation (advertising, customer references, branded content programs, etc), content management platforms, content distribution (media, social, search, etc) among other content related services. Ann was integral to the development and execution of IBM’s Smarter Planet strategy and recently launched the “made with IBM” brand platform.
Prior to her current role, Ann was Director of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) for the Americas Group. Ann managed various Demand Generation programs in support of various business units (i.e., Software, Hardware). Ann was also responsible for executing digital marketing and telemarketing for the Americas and for creating an overall Americas Event Strategy.
Before joining the Americas, Ann was Director of IMC for software and hardware. As such, Ann was responsible for communications that reach the IT audience; specifically, shaping overall 360 plans including advertising, branding, demand generation tactics, event strategy, web marketing, collateral and the customer reference program. Ann also managed a centralized proprietary conference team to help run major IT conferences. Prior to this role, Ann had a variety of Advertising and Marketing related roles at IBM.
Prior to joining IBM, Ann spent 12 years working in Account Management for major advertising agencies where she managed various accounts ranging from Procter & Gamble to AT&T.
Ann attended Union College in Schenectady, NY and has earned several advertising awards. Ann is a board member of the Advertising Education Foundation and member of various Advertising organizations. When Ann isn’t working, she is busy enjoying a number of hobbies and spending time with her husband and three sons.
