John E. Cimba

In 2007, John Cimba joined GLC, a forty-five year-old Chicago-based marketing communications agency, as president and CEO.
Since coming on board, John transformed the company and quickly executed a plan for steady growth. Today, GLC delivers award-winning marketing strategies and programs for more than 50 companies, healthcare organizations, and professional associations across the country.

Under John’s leadership, today GLC’s services range from content strategy/development; marketing consultation; print and digital publishing; social media marketing; digital design and development; real-time content distribution; UI/UX consulting; search engine marketing, measurement and analytics; creative services; video production and beyond.
Prior to joining GLC, John was the Publisher of Bank Director Magazine, a leading publication for financial institutions. Bank Director’s primary goal was to deliver engaging, actionable content to CEOs, board members and board chairmen of the top 2,000 banks in the United States. John expanded Bank Director’s print magazine into a cross-platform program that included exclusive in-person events, webinars, microsites and e-newsletter campaigns. John also introduced a vertically focused marketing strategy, which expanded the Bank Director brand and enabled it to reach and influence investment banks; technology companies; and insurance, law, recruiting and strategic planning firms.
John began his career as an entrepreneur, starting his own business-to-business import and export marketing company and growing it to 15 branches before selling it in 1999. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.
