Maria Ungaro
Executive Oversight
Maria Ungaro is a Vice President of Kellen and along with The Content Council
serves as Executive Director for New York Women in Communications (NYWICI), a
professional society, where
she provides expertise in membership growth and retention strategies.
Ungaro is a seasoned association executive with more than 15 years at Kellen. She is
highly skilled in strategic thinking, operational effectiveness, membership
retention, growth marketing
and major event planning and fundraising. Ungaro has also previously served Kellen
in many other capacities including roles as Executive Director for the New York
Women's Agenda and Deputy
Director to many trade associations such as the Builders Hardware Manufacturers and
the Window Covering Safety Council.
Prior to joining Kellen, Ungaro worked for a management consulting firm specializing
in crisis communications, public relations and corporate positioning. A graduate of
Fordham University,
Ungaro holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major of Political Science with
minor a Minor in Economics, as well as a Master of Business Administration in
Marketing.
Gemma Rainer
Executive Director
In her current position, Gemma promotes member agencies to brands, clients,
marketers and the wider industry through increased visibility via The Content
Council’s external
communications and events. She is focused on growing and diversifying the
membership, as well as developing programs and services that benefit current
members.
Prior to joining The Content Council, Gemma worked for the Content Marketing
Association in the UK, organizing the country’s only content marketing awards
ceremony and the annual
content marketing summit. She started her career at one of the UK’s leading
content marketing agencies where she honed her knowledge of the industry.
Anna
McManus
Membership Manager
Anna is responsible for visualizing and executing new strategies to retain and grow The Content Council membership. She graduated Cum Laude from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Graphic Design. She has previously worked for the Walt Disney Company and at the Museum of Modern Art where she learned the importance of excellent brand management.
